Jul 23, 2010 - My 1995 Ebony Les Paul Standard got the same treatment. Got aboard in PA when I got to SF I almost cried. The neck was broken same place as yours. right below the nut. United gave me the same run around. No was I told last minute I could not carry it aboard. They charged me $30 to have it fly in the hold. I was extremely terrified that something like this would happen. My worst fears were realized. Managed to get the neck bonded but still, should I ever sell the guitar It will be worthless
