Feb 1, 2010 - Clara really makes me feel so grateful that we have such entertainments like you tube and television. But on the other hand, if i had lived life back then, i would settle just fine with 2 or 3 books and a big family. God bless

Feb 17, 2010 - God bless you! We never wasted anything when I was growing up. My parents were children/young adults during those ten years. They passed their values down to me, and I'm better for it!

Feb 22, 2010 - My Great Grandfather said, when he was still alive, that he was once injured in a bread line. I don't know how he was injured, but I assume it was just waiting in the very long lines. It's a shame how bad the United States was in that time period.

Mar 21, 2010 - Clara rocks!! Re the morons who make it necessary to add annotations like "wash the lentils and remove stones" and who are " nervous about her tips" and methods: poor dumb cows. They would never have survived the Great Depression and chances are they'll flop the present recession for their lack of common sense and their obsession with political correctness. Thank God for the Claras of then and now! :-)
