Aug 10, 2010 - @babalufinho Music is no longer commentary or poetry. It is now beats, pyrotechnics, and repetitive choruses/riffs.

Aug 19, 2010 - Of all the versions of this terrific song, this remains my favorite. The guitar work by Kaukonen(think) is off the charts.

Aug 20, 2010 - @bogdiiii Not since the Kent State Massacre, it never is and never will be the America as I knew her.
silverstox Says:
Aug 20, 2010 - @leemajella And Grace Slick's fantastic vocals, they all carried this song. It's one of my all time faves. They all collaborated great musical talent to the song. IMHO this may never be repeated in my lifetime. You will never see bands such as The Who, The Doors or the Beatles ever again. Nope, nor will you ever be able to repeat those great voices from the 60's 70's and 80's ever again. Long live ROCK.

Aug 21, 2010 - "I regret to announce that America is not America anymore." Does that mean that the rest of us are safe from "friendly fire"? I fucking hope so mate 'cos statistically you people kill more of your own ~ and your allies ~ than you do the enemy!

Aug 22, 2010 - @kapila013, my friend. I do not blame you. NO ONE is making music today like this. Goodness, this is so powerful.

Aug 26, 2010 - @bogdiiii it never was...
Chadoacdc Says:
Aug 26, 2010 - @Infinity9878 propaganda and advertisements is what is wrong with America... but what does this have to do with Jefferson Airplane?
8AdamC Says:
Aug 26, 2010 - 4:14 - Most underrated guitar solo of all-time!
ducskier Says:
Aug 26, 2010 - @silverstox Are you kidding, me? Your an idiot!
Infinity9878 Says:
Aug 26, 2010 - @Chadoacdc: Without propaganda and advertisments there would be a much larger jobless rate. Fewer bands who make good music would be able to earn a living at their trade.

ryoushii Says:
Sep 3, 2010 - Looks like nobody has been getting what this song is about - the aftermath of the final war, where the former enemy has become just another ghost like me, wandering the wreckage of humanity's pride and idiocy and trying to survive in the barren waste we've turned our world into for whatever forgotten reasons.
ryoushii Says:
Sep 3, 2010 - @RatherLargeAllan It is about the final war, as two 'enemies' meet in the ruins, not even knowing what it was all about. Think of the Twilight Zone episode with Charles Bronson and Elizabeth Montgomery as the two soldiers who meet in the ruined town.
Footle1 Says:
Sep 3, 2010 - I am addicted to their choir swinging harmonics, that's something you don't hear nowadays, absolutely magical ...
ledwhofloyd101 Says:
Sep 8, 2010 - This is a great song but i prefer the CSN version
duncanstpt Says:
Sep 8, 2010 - The best thing to come from Jefferson Airplane. Marty Balin peaked later.
