Mar 2, 2010 - umm this was back in 1999 when we didnt know half the things we know about twisters now. They probably didnt know anything about going under an overpass was a terrible idea at the time.

Mar 2, 2010 - holy crap i saw lights right by it in a closeup!

Mar 2, 2010 - except that a F6 will probably never ocure it wouldnt be usefull to include it since an F5 already creates absolute destruction, so from an engenering point of view you cant tell aF5 from a F6 and there aint much difference too except for higher wind speeds
twisterfield651 Says:
Mar 2, 2010 - @666motherfucker13 an f6 would be capable of wiping out an entire city. The fujita scale measures damage done, not wind speeds. example- An E-F50 tornado would rip apart an entire planet
jtpoiyu Says:
Mar 3, 2010 - woah, never attempt to out run a tornado. It's capable of traveling faster and longer then a car.
666motherfucker13 Says:
Mar 3, 2010 - yeah but your confusing size with damage and the fujita scale with the enhanced fujita scale.First, except for secendary damage you cant proparly tell a f5 from a f6, both completly destroy a house so if a f5 would 3 miles wide it would also destroy an entire city. The fujita scale defines damage done at certain windspeeds up to f12 wich is the mach number, the enhanced fujita scale defines windspeed to a certain amount of damage done an thus goes no further then EF5 wich is complete destruction

Mar 11, 2010 - wow, and you would think that under an overpass you'd be safe, but apparently not
THEBIGJOBE Says:
Mar 11, 2010 - Thats one of the worse places you can be. The overpass funnels the wind which makes the wind stronger. Its better then nothing though so if you can get to one go as far in a corner as possible. :)
